Hurricane Ian Relief
Hurricane Ian came ashore in southwest Florida on September 28, 2022, as a Category 4 storm. Pure Healthcare, which BUILD co-founded, ran its Pure Infusion Suites and Memory Treatment Centers clinics in Bonita Springs and Jacksonville. Their doctors, nurses and staff came through safely, but many employees, their families and patients lost homes, cars and belongings to the flooding.
In early October the foundation gave $35,000 for immediate relief. Dr. Wally Plante and the Memory Treatment Centers team in Bonita Springs, who were on the ground in the hardest-hit areas, decided where the money went. It paid for food, clothing, beds, generator fuel, rent, car repairs and replacement flooring and furniture.
Pure Healthcare employees across the country also gave to their Florida colleagues through a company campaign that ran alongside the grant.
